Description: Just like its designer, Hall of Famer and two-time major champion Fuzzy Zoeller, Covered Bridge Golf Club is bold with plenty of personality. The 18-hole golf course is nestled on a gently rolling plain located at the foot of Southern Indiana's famous Floyds Knob and just 15 minutes from downtown Louisville, Ky. Each hole has been laid out to emphasize the natural beauty of the landscape. The par-72 circuit features five lakes, a meandering creek and is pleasantly forested.
Signature Hole: Covered Bridge has two very beautiful signature holes sitting sideby-side. No. 9 and No. 18 are parallel par 5s, separated by a shimmering lake. Your approach shots are to a large shared green with the picturesque clubhouse and the beautiful hillsides of Floyds Knob serving as the background. The clubhouse overlooking these signature designs is said to have one of the best views in all of golf.
Description: Opened for play in 1997, this beautiful Southern Indiana layout was one of the first designs by popular architect Tom Doak. Quail Crossing was built in accordance with Doak's minimalist manifesto, which aims to œcreate golf courses that appear to have been placed naturally in the existing terrain. The course unfolds over 320 acres of rolling wooded countryside, and the linksstyle routing emphasizes distinctive fairway bunkers framed by native prairie grasses.
Signature Hole: An abrupt drop from the tee box, the par-3 8th hole lives up to the name given by Tom Doak Lookout. The hole is only 135 yards from the middle tee to the green, but the 40-foot drop creates a very impressive vantage point.
Description: In a recent issue of Golf Digest's Places to Play guide, the publication gushed about Sultan's Run, calling it a killer scenic layout. The course's beauty combined with ever present elevation changes and carries across ravines and water hazards are earning the Tim Liddy layout a thrilling reputation. The land now occupied by Sultan's Run was once used for breeding world champion Saddlebred horses.
Signature Hole: The 429-yard, par-4 18th was tabbed by Golf Digest as one of the best finishing holes in Indiana. It tests golfers with a tee shot across a lake and a ravine, then middle to long iron approach shot to the green. The views from every angle are breathtaking.
