Description: The only golf course in northwest Indiana to receive a 5-Star rating from Chicagoland Golf Magazine, The Course at Aberdeen beckons golfers from the Windy City and beyond to make the trip to Valparaiso and experience a championshipcaliber layout highlighted by stunning natural aesthetics and a most serene atmosphere. Designed by Dr. Michael Hurdzan, the 6,917-yard property was cut out of the former Timberlake Horse Farm's rolling hills and provides a beautiful natural habitat to surrounding wildlife. The tees, fairways and greens are all Bent grass and provide an enjoyable golfing experience.
Signature Hole: Three holes are better than one. Th at's Aberdeen's outlook on signature holes, as they prefer to label the stretch from 10-12 as the course's most memorable. A reachable par 5 is followed by a menacing par 3 and a par 4 that requires you to carry two environmentally sensitive areas. This trio can make or break your round.
Description: Course designers Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore put it best when they said We wanted an old-fashioned, traditional course. One based on subtleties, not special effects. And they achieved just that. Only ten years old, the Warren Golf Course at Notre Dame has hosted 18 USGA, NCAA, PGA and WGA events including the 2010 U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Championship in June 2010. Play Northern Indiana's best conditioned daily-fee facility.
Signature Hole: The 349-yard, par-4 16th is emblematic of the Coore-Crenshaw golf experience. The tee shot must negotiate Juday Creek and heavy fairway bunkering lurks to the left. Once across the creek, the short, uphill approach is to a severely undulating green, featuring a deep front pot bunker. The hole is as tough as it is beautiful from the clubhouse view.
